Lecturer – Mechanical Maintenance Engineering (0.6)
The School of Engineering incorporates many facets of engineering – automotive, aerospace, electrical, electronics, mechanical and maintenance and its courses range from pre-entry to Higher National Diploma. It has a long and successful track record in providing high quality training, working with a large number of employers and training organisations.
As a Lecturer in Mechanical Maintenance Engineering, you will teach theoretical and practical workshop sessions relating to Level 2/3 Engineering/Maintenance apprentices and full time Level 3 students studying Engineering subjects; in particular Mechanical Fitting, Mechanical Systems, Mechanical Maintenance, Machining and Fabrication.
We’re looking for a hardworking and flexible individual who has energy, enthusiasm and passion for Engineering and education. With professional industry qualifications and/or experience in a related industrial environment, you will have excellent teaching skills and the ability to support, motivate and empathise with learners to include monitoring their progress. It’s important that you have the ability to use new technologies to enhance teaching and learning to support students and have an awareness of academic quality standards.
We’ll also need you to hold a teaching qualification or be willing to achieve one in line with current regulations.
The post will be based in Kingston College.
