Following the official opening of the Renewable Parts, Refurbishment Centre in Lochgilphead in October this year we are delighted to be further expanding our local team with the appointment of an Experienced Mechanical Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast growth, entrepreneurial business. Key Responsibilities Working in a dynamic environment and reporting to our General Manager, we are seeking a Degree Level (or equivalent) individual with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in engineering workshop who will assist in the running of the refurbishment and repair engineering workshop. Workshop skills are essential, including experience with machine shop tools along with experience and knowledge in; · Tool Making · Product testing and reporting · Route Cause Analysis · Technical Reporting · Budgeting In addition, the successful candidate will have strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop technical fixes/workshops and associated processes and documentation. An understanding of electrical engineering is desirable as is some understanding of emerging refurbishment techniques. At Renewable Parts we truly recognise the value that fresh insight and different perspectives can bring and whilst previous experience of the Renewable Energy Sector would be highly desirable it is not essential.
