Occupational Therapist - Dundee - £35K
Location: Dundee
Services: Independent private hospital- LD/Autsim/Mental Health
Amber Mace are currently looking for an Occupational therapist to join the team at a small service dedicated to providing nursing care for people living with learning disability, who may also have a diagnosis of autism, in specialist supported living, residential services and hospitals
The occupational therapist will provide professional Occupational Therapy to the service users of the home, providing functional assessments, and reviewing and assessing service users to enhance their ability to live independently.

Requirements for the Occupational Therapist:

• To monitor and evaluate the outcome of clinical practices and liaise with team members in the development of effective models of service delivery.
• To maintain concise and accurate records as requested by the Clinical Team
• To carry out specific assignments and projects negotiated with the Clinical Team.
• To participate fully in the multidisciplinary patient care programmes including the delivery of therapy programmes and the provision of aids.
• To contribute to the development and management of the team through provision of relevant information and training
• To attend care and professional meetings as required.
• To comply with company care and professional policies, procedures and National Care Standards operating in the work locations.
• To complete risk assessments for patients giving professional opinions where necessary with recommendations.
• To perform any other duties, this may arise following discussion by the Multi-disciplinary Team.
• Due to the peripatetic nature of this post it is essential that the post holder has a current driving licence and maintains a roadworthy vehicle.
• To maintain state registration and provide proof on request.

Mandatory Skills/Qualifications:

• HCPC Registered
• Occupational Therapy (Dip. COT Bsc OT) qualification
• 2 Years' experience as an Occupational Therapist
• Awareness of CQC Standards for Care Homes, including those for people with Learning Disabilities
