Mechanical Project Engineer- Chemicals- North-West- £40-50k + Excellent Benefits

Are you a degree qualified, mechanically biased project engineer, looking to challenge yourself in a demanding, complex chemical manufacturing environment?

Dominating their unique market, for which they have applications within catalysts, healthcare, medical, and food industries, this speciality chemical manufacturer have recently created a mechanical project engineer position, on a staff basis. Based at their established manufacturing site in the North-West, spanning 75 acres, this is a newly created position for the business, in order to act as a discipline expert within the projects team, contributing to an exciting array of capital projects, with significant continued investment in the site.

Here, you will be offered exposure to lead a true variety of projects, from significant new plant installations and site expansions, to demolition of ageing assets.

Given the lean nature of the business, this position carries significant responsibility on site; as such you will be a highly experienced engineer, with a track record in leading & implementing a breadth of capital projects, of varying size and complexity, in a similar process manufacturing environment.

Proven in delivering projects from concept through to commissioning, you will also be able to demonstrate capability in the development of capital project estimates within your discipline, scopes of work, risk assessments, site survey reports and equipment inspections.

- Degree/ HND/ HNC qualified in Mechanical Engineering

- Industrial experience gained in a related process industry

- Track record of delivering capital projects of varying size and scope

- Good organisational skills, showing attention to detail with a strong time management focus


- Chartered Engineer

- Prior experience of mechanical equipment, used in solids/ material handing
