Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk
Location: Northwich
Salary: £22,000 - 24,000
Duration: 12 months
Key Responsibilities: We currently have an opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Finance team based in Northwich, Cheshire. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for processing purchase invoices and maintaining the Accounts Payable ledger.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Reviewing purchase invoices and sending them for approval
• Processing approved invoices into financial system
• Checking and processing of travel expense reports
• Preparation and execution of payments to vendors
• Assisting the correct application of payments to the accounting sub-ledgers
• Housekeeping of the accounts payable ledger
• Open, prepare and sort incoming mail
• Filing and storage of purchase invoices and travel expense reports
• Investigating and resolving internal and external queries
• Preparation of month-end accruals
• Measurement of key performance indicators
The desired candidate will ideally have qualifications to include:
• Educated to at least A-Level standard
The desired candidate will ideally have professional experience to include:
• Previous experience of working within an accounts payable environment
• Strong keyboard and data-entry skills
• Strong systems/processes background
• Analytical and logical approach to problem solving
• Good organisational and prioritisation skills
• Developed interpersonal communication skills
• Self-motivated and ability to work unsupervised on own initiative
• Proficient with using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
