We are currently recruiting for a Assistant Finance Officer (Cashier) for a successful client based in Gateshead.

The starting salary is £18,250 + excellent benefits

* Reporting to the Assistant Finance Manager the post holder will be responsible for the day to processing and reconciliation of all bank accounts for the charity and subsidiaries.

* On a daily basis ensure all bank transactions are accurately processed through the K4 accounting system. Bank transactions include sales receipts, supplier payments, rental income, donations and other ad-hoc receipts and payments.

* Ensure daily and monthly bank reconciliations are carried out resolving any queries which may arise. This will involve liaising with internal and external customers and organisations including banks.

* Reconcile rental income received into the bank with the internal rents system

* Bank any cheques and donations as and when received at Central Office.

* To develop sound relationships with customers, external bodies and internal project employees.

* To administer the company Barclaycards and petty cash. This involves processing new card requests, maintaining cardholder records, processing monthly card and petty cash expenditure, and providing support to operational colleagues.

* To complete monthly reconciliations for petty cash and payment card nominal accounts in accordance with the month end timetable ensuring all queries are resolved.

* AAT Qualified

* 3 years’ experience in a similar role
