Finance Manager - Bristol

Robert Half are working with a large UK based PE backed multi-site business. With an office located in central Bristol and it being the main hub for the region, the business is looking for a new Finance Manager to oversee various sites across South Wales and the South West of England.

Role

Main duties of the Finance Manager include:
  • Provide a full management accounting service, with particular emphasis on financial monitoring and control. This includes assisting with budget setting and reporting of actual results as well as identifying and promoting areas for performance improvement
  • Manage a small team by agreeing objectives, setting goals and monitoring performance
  • Monitor financial and non-financial Operations performance and report issues and hotspots to the management team
  • Be responsible for monthly account reconciliations for the entities within the group
  • Provide monthly detailed analysis and written commentary to explain expenditure and any variances to expected expenditure
  • Assist in the cost effective delivery of the Operations work programmes through targeted MI
  • Initiate and deliver ad-hoc exercises to improve financial controls, and to increase the quality and accuracy of management information and reporting systems
  • Manage cash flow in line with agreed contract terms


Profile
  • The ideal candidate will have 3 or more years commercial experience in an accounting role. Part or fully qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA or qualified by experience considered
  • Have demonstrable experience of success in a similar role
  • Must be an expert user of financial systems, general PC applications and Microsoft applications, including excellent Excel skills
  • Experience in structured analysis of financial information is a must
  • Also strong working knowledge of Accounting/Expenditure policies




Salary & Benefits

Up to £50,000 - £6,000 car allowance - up to 2 months salary discretionary annual bonus - standard pension - 25 days + bank holidays annual leave
