To manage and assist with the planning and design of living and commercial environments turning ideas into reality. Designing space that is practical for its purpose as well as visually pleasing for the customer. Leading a small creative team you will be responsible for: • Managing a team of Interior Designers and a Home Styling Assistant • Developing ideas about potential projects • Surveying customers’ homes to gather accurate measurements • Recommending, selecting and planning “the look” for clients • Producing “sample” or “mood” boards, if and when required • Closing the design sale • Taking responsibility for all design led dedicated projects from client’s briefs and managing design throughout its lifecycle. • Sourcing products, obtaining quotations from suppliers to populate accurate cost plans Candidate Requirements • Knowledge of customer service and sales principles • An eye for design, including colour and 3D awareness • The ability to visualise concepts and explain them to others • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal • Project management skills • An interest in changing trends in design • Leadership and demonstrate people management ability Person characteristics • A “can do” attitude with a positive, calm and polite nature • Reliable with ability to juggle a number of projects • Team focused Education • A degree in Interior Design or equivalent • Experience of working on a design project, educationally or commercially What do we offer? • Competitive salary • Staff discount • Free parking • Friendly, modern working environment
