Grow with a company that puts customers first We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager, Procurement to join our team in Milton Keynes with frequent travel to London . The team provides advice and management information to Senior Management across the Santander UK central units and retail and corporate banking in respect of Procurement and Purchasing practice. As a Senior Manager, Procurement your main responsibilities will be Interrogating cost on a category basis, understanding cost drivers and assisting in strategy to reduce total cost of ownership. Working closely with Divisional heads to ensure that procurement delivers maximum value and is recognised appropriately. Collaborating with the Head of Procurement to set Cost reduction and Procurement strategy for the area. Developing divisional engagement strategies. Acting as Subject Matter Expert on Procurement and Purchasing Management. Attending forums as the business representative for procurement. Managing the delivery of key procurement led suppliers, and preferred suppliers catalogue Act as deputy head of procurement where appropriate. Managing the sourcing business approach for central units, retail and corporate banking. Minimum skills and experience required Experience driving cost saving and cost analysis. Experience bringing new and innovative thinking to teams. Background working within the Financial Services or cost led industries; Construction, Commercial Management, Retail or Consultancy. Strong stakeholder management skills demonstrated at senior level. Experience of managing and developing a team - 4 people upwards.
