A Pensions Reporting accountant job in Brighton for £500 per day for 4 months.


The Pensions Regulator, which is situated immediately next to Brighton railway station, requires an Assurance Specialist to operate as a reporting accountant for work related to assurance of internal controls.


Your new role


This job is a day rate contract of £500 per day and is required through until the 26th April 2019. All applicants must be aware that this role is definitely in-scope of IR35 and as such, you weekly pay will be subject to income Tax and NI deductions at source.


What you'll need to succeed


You will be able to clearly demonstrate in your CV, the knowledge and skills as required for this role, which are:
Knowledge:


Qualified reporting accountant (related to assurance of internal controls)
Detailed knowledge of AAF related to audit of internal controls (specifically AAF 01/06 and AAF 02/07)
A good understanding of either FCA SYSC requirements, or the systems and processes requirements for master trusts (or ideally both)
A strong understanding of financial regulation related to defined contribution occupational pensions (including FCA, PRA and TPR)
Detailed knowledge of pensions administration
Good knowledge of industry practice in managing IT security and cyber risk
TPR values and ways of working
Standard Office IT software applications




Skills:


Experienced as a reporting accountant responsible for carrying out assurance of internal controls in financial institutions/product providers)
Able to establish, lead and develop a client relationship
Able to support clients in developing and implementing controls procedures for managing the monitoring and governance of DC pensions administration
Communicating complex ideas in a simple way, often to those with limited knowledge of audit and assurance
Able to contribute to and challenge in meetings with senior representatives of both master trusts and the audit industry (eg the ICAEW)
