Position: Transport Planner / Engineer (development planning)

Team: Transportation & Highways

Office: Didcot

Salary Range: £25,000 - £30,000

An independent, multidisciplinary consultancy has a new opening for a Transport Planner in their Oxfordshire team. The organisation is in the NCE100 and prides itself on offering a supportive working environment with extensive training opportunities.

Within transportation, the team offer specialist services including transport assessments & travel planning, highway design, road safety auditing and traffic modelling.

Candidate Specification:

* Degree level education in a relevant subject;
* 3+ years' transport planning experience;
* Project management experience would be beneficial;
* Proficiency with ARCADY, PICADY, LINSIG & TRANSYT;
* Experience with highway design;
* Experience of promoting large-scale residential development through the Local Plan Process.

The position will require the Transport Planner to:

* Carry out site appraisals and provide pre-application advice;
* Prepare & review transport assessments;
* Conduct traffic modelling;
* Liaise with team members, clientele and local authorities;
* Site appraisal & feasibility studies.
