A highly skilled Finance Director of exceptional commercial acumen is required by our client – specialists in creative communications solutions for the corporate market and absolute champions of D & I and gender equality. The business is at a significant point in its growth which could see international client wins double the turnover. This role is integral to achieving this growth through your strategic business insight, commerciality, communication skills and leadership.

You will be responsible for the overall control and accountability for the day to day finance operation and all financial aspects of company strategy, with a focus on profitability growth and development, and providing expert financial advice/support to the Board.

Your key responsibilities as FD will be…

- Providing leadership for the board’s finance and accounting strategy
- Forming a close working relationship with the MD and CEO
- Utilising connections to source business funding through VCs/investors
- Ensuring regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met
- Controlling all financial and accounting matters including month end reports, management accounts, cashflow management, statutory accounts, compliance and presentation of management information and KPIs
- Supporting the business through change and growth periods, co-ordinating corporate finance, debt, taxation, equity and acquisitions as appropriate

The successful FDF candidate …

– Will have experience of raising capital and working with VCs – ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENT
– Is used to working as a senior finance professional at SME board level
– Will be fully qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA
– Will be accomplished in strategic planning, modelling and budgeting with the ability to gather, analyse and interpret information
– Will have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders and a strong ability to influence at all levels
– Will be commercially astute with practical knowledge of working within a growing business
– Will have demonstrable people management skills – someone who has managed a small team successfully in the past and who can encourage cross departmental working when necessary
– Is of a proven proactive, decisive and adaptable nature with the ability to manage pressure effectively
