Planning Technicians

This Council are looking for positive and enthusiastic people to join their well-resourced Development Management team. Responsible for the validation of planning applications and providing planning advice and guidance to customers, you should have proven experience of working in a customer-facing, busy office environment and be able to demonstrate good administrative skills, the ability to multi-task and confidence in using IT packages.

Excellent communication skills are required as you will be dealing with Councillors, members of the public and planning agents both face to face and on the telephone.

They invest in people, and try to ensure that they have the opportunity to gain good quality experience that is required at the start of their planning career. These vacancies have arisen due to internal promotions within the team, and are full time permanent positions.

The jobs are based at the Council's offices in Thrapston. East Northamptonshire is a prosperous place with six towns and many beautiful villages set within very attractive countryside.
