We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Quality Engineer for a leading, global multi-speciality chemical and composite materials business.
The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring products and parameters are controlled within an established process and to facilitate improvement within these processes. As Quality Engineer you will provide internal and external customers with technical support on testing issues and continuous improvement of quality systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work closely with operations to monitor, reinforce and communicate all customer issues, quality escapes and other systematic quality issues
* Document and track non-conformances for incoming materials, internal departments and customers
* Analyse quality issues and develop corrective actions; including customer notifications, rework, waste and other cost of quality contributors, taking ownership of and updating required quality documentations
* Represent the company during customer communications and meetings to ensure preventative systems are in place
* Coach and instruct employees in quality assurance principles and methodologies
* Support the quality team in preparation for and conduct of external audits
Key Experience Requirements:
* Ideally Degree qualified
* Demonstrable experience in Quality Inspection / Assurance gained within a manufacturing environment
* Demonstrable experience in problem solving and root cause analysis
* The ability to facilitate change within a manufacturing environment
* Experience of EN9100 and / or ITAF16949
* Internal Audit Qualification would be a distinct advantage
