We are on the hunt for a Technical Engineer (Electro/Mechanical) that has experience of multi-project environments/roles to become an integral part of the business moving forward in 2019. If you have experience of managing projects throughout the scoping and implementation process to completion and then final sign off, this could be the next step on your journey.

Based in the East Midlands (Loughborough), we are looking for a Technical Engineer to be responsible for the specification and provision of new equipment whether that is as planned replacement or new equipment for expansion into new activities. This may involve the development and construction of new and/or upgraded test equipment and processes as required in support of the testing business.

You’ll need strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with colleagues and clients, experience of risk assessments and method statements, ability to evaluate and control cost and make sound financial recommendations, as the role will require you to be actively involved with (but not limited to):

• Technical aspects of rigs and maintenance
• Line management for one or more team members indirectly to assist with the project work
• Working with the key stakeholders to specify and purchase new equipment
• Assist with design, specification, planning, budgeting and control of subcontractors to ensure delivery to specification, timescales and budget
• To Pro-actively identify weaknesses in current facilities to support forward planning of equipment replacement programmes and business continuity.
• Implement best practise across all labs and common operating models
