Client Account Manager (Pensions)


£28,000 - £35,000 per annum + company benefits

My client is recruiting for a Client Account Manager to join their growing Pensions team on a permanent basis in Liverpool.

You will be responsible for delivering a structured programme of engagement with our 340 participating client, developing a strategic dialogue with a range of key contacts including Finance Directors, HR Directors and Pension Managers, and deepening the company’s understanding of the needs of a wider and more diverse range of clients within the sector.

Key Responsibilities will include;

* Work effectively with the Client Relationship Manager and other senior stakeholders across the business to identify opportunities for business development and product and service growth most relevant to the participating employers to ensure that it meets its mission statement to be “the pension service of choice” for the higher education sector.
* Actively use feedback from surveys, employer contacts or other feedback channels to drive service, product and communication related improvements. Identify opportunities for development of new services and products that are relevant to employers’ needs. Champion the concerns and needs of participating employers by being “the voice” of the sector across the business, generating recommendations for business improvements, driving internal change on behalf of the employers, and ensuring senior stakeholders are effectively briefed on developments within the sector.
* Explore the scope to develop an enhanced suite of employer bench-marking and reporting services using existing administrative data and survey results.
* Positively promoting services, products and performance to employers.
* Work closely with the Employer Communications Officer to ensure communications issued to employers are relevant and timely.
* Ensure constructive engagement with other key business areas (particularly Service Delivery Operations, Group Transformation and Pensions Strategy).
* Working with the Client Insight Manager and other colleagues, deliver an enhanced employer segmentation approach for targeting communications, products and services.
* Consider the underlying drivers of performance against a suite of employer-related KPIs and target success measures: identifying threats and opportunities to improving performance against these KPIs and actionable developing recommendations for the business.
* Ensure that periodic Client Dashboards are produced to support delivery of key messaging and MI to employers.
* Ensure that periodic MI reporting is produced from the Client Feedback Tracker that will support both internal and external stakeholders.

Skills and Experience needed:

* Have a strong pensions background and knowledge
* Experience of being client facing and relationship building.
* Must be a confident communicator
* Deep understanding of stakeholders needs and requirements
* Excellent organisation and planning skills.
* Strong presentation and communication (verbal and written) skills.
