The successful candidate will be providing support for the Legal Department and will aim to protect the parent company and its subsidiary companies. Duties include: Assisting the Director of Legal, Risk and Compliance and the Company Solicitor including: Contract Law Reviewing Building Contracts and dealing with all associated documents. Preparing Building Contracts on development projects and for clients whereby we offer the contracts to be set up in-house. Preparing a Schedule of Amendments comprising Warranty packages. Preparation of construction packages including Appointment Deeds for design Consultants. Dealing with Novation Agreements (when required) for Consultants Ensuring register of Professional Indemnity Insurance for design consultants/sub-consultants is maintained. Land Law & Conveyancing Responsible for reviewing, drafting and approving Tenancy Agreements, Leases and Licences and ensuring they are acceptable to the company. Dealing with registration formalities following the preparation of Loan Agreements to officers/employees of the company and registration of charges/discharges at the Land Registry to protect the company's interest in such properties. Working with the housing team in procuring Adoption Agreements comprising road and sewer adoptions. Company Law Responsible for setting up the limited companies/LLPs for development projects. Assisting the Company Secretaries in maintaining of the company books including writing up statutory registers etc. Legal Executive Legal Contract Law Land Law & Conveyancing Company Law Essential Skills Full working knowledge of Microsoft 365. Full working knowledge of Companies House. Full working knowledge of Land Registry portals. Desirable Skills Ability to work independently. To work with the department and staff to improve efficiencies.
