Autism Advisor: Get set 4 Autism Programme Argyll and Bute Temporary until 2nd August 2020 Part Time (18.5hrs) Salary: £22,122 - £26,070 pro rata Reference: SA/716 Scottish Autism seeks to promote and provide care, education, support and opportunities for people with autism of all ages throughout Scotland. We are seeking to appoint a part time Autism Advisor to support the delivery of our Get Set 4 Autism project throughout Argyll and Bute. The programme is funded by The Big Lottery. In this role you will promote the use of our online professional learning resource among a range of job roles and disciplines across Argyll and Bute. You will develop and deliver a plan to promote the resource across the region and develop support materials which will complement the online content with a view to supporting application to practice. Engaging with local professionals from a range of disciplines will be required in order to identify any gaps and to understand and resolve any barriers to accessing the resource. The successful candidates will have a degree level qualification in health, education or social care or any other relevant qualification along with extensive experience in supporting individuals with autism.The ability to demonstrate a sound understanding of autism and related issues are essential to this post. You will have good communication skills and be highly organised. Motivation is required along with the ability to work with limited supervision and to deadlines. The role requires flexibility and creativity and evening and occasional weekend working is likely to be required. Due to the geographical spread of the service area a high level of driving will be required as the post holder will need to plan and deliver a range of events and opportunities to promote the resource.
