Badenoch and Clark are working with one of our most important clients in the Merseyside area, to recruit for an accountant to join their Finance Business Partnering unit of the business.

This role would be ideal for someone with experience in management accountants and evidence of business partnering.
Our client is very open to the background applicants come from, and is looking for someone who is extremely driven, and willing to learn and develop within the role. Joining a team with a mixture of qualified and unqualified staff, we are looking for someone who is actively studying and aiming to complete their accountancy qualifications within the next 2-4 years. Full study support is included on top of the annual salary.
Fully qualified candidates will also be considered.

This would be an ideal role for someone looking for their second/third move after completely an accountancy or finance focused degree. This would be an excellent opportunity for someone to make a step up into a mid-senior role.

The role:
To assist the Finance Business Partner Manager in delivering the internal customer facing Finance function, helping ensure financial resources are planned, managed and reported. This role will also assist the Finance Business Partner Manager in providing financial support to projects and activities provided across the business by operational specialists from the region.

Assist in delivering the monthly accounts reporting process, producing accurate and timely financial information to the Finance Business Partner Manager and to budget holders.
Assist in the budgeting, forecasting and financial planning process for regional and specialist services to support strategic and operational objectives, value for money and customer and neighbourhood services.
Assist in providing the finance service for specialist housing services.
Assist in providing financial support for colleagues with business objective and innovation projects providing financial information and a ‘can do’ attitude.
Assist in providing a link between the analysis of data and other teams. Provide data assurance to ensure that information decisions are made at the right level.
Support the Finance Business Partner Manager in identifying, building and developing an extensive network of external contacts to keep abreast of best practice and benchmarking to deliver efficiencies, improvements and value for money.
Provide line management and leadership to the assistant management accountant, managing resources to ensure that objectives are achieved.

Essential Experience:
Experience of delivering financial support to internal customers.
Experience of managing and reporting financial performance information to internal stakeholders.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels. with both financial and non-financial management teams members.
Experience of working with finance ledgers.
IT skill – Microsoft Office, Excel at intermediate level.
Experience of leading & developing people to deliver high performance.
Experience of line management.
