The Organisation:

Duties:
To be responsible for, initiate and maintain appropriate analysis and insight to facilitate the management and continuous improvement of the business. To develop alternative business models to challenge the status quo and act as business partner to the management team.
To operate safely, efficiently and cost effectively within the Finance Department to the overall benefit of the entire Finance team and the company and to ensure that agreed standards are met and our ambition of becoming a World Class Finance team is achieved.
* Work closely with managers and other functions to provide timely financial and business insight and presentations on a pro-active basis and as requested
* Undertake scenario modelling to instigate change where appropriate
* Liaise with Financial Accountants and other members of the finance team to ensure relevant information is fully communicated to the business
* Undertake product costings on a timely basis, liaising with all relevant departments to obtain the most accurate input information
* Produce regular product contribution reports, and take problem areas forward
* Produce customer profitability reports at least on an annual basis and present to managers as appropriate
* Complete and co-ordinate monthly KPI reports and actions arising therefrom
* Work with other Business Controllers to design reports to gain synergies, meet customer expectations and build on the Company’s best practice
* Control the forecasting process for relevant UK divisions with support from the Financial Accountants
* Liaise with relevant managers to produce initial forecasts and updated current year estimates
* Produce associated information, analysis and reports
* Support the year end reporting process
* Be involved in continuous improvement projects aimed at adding value to the business
Person Specification:
* Educated to degree level & ACA Accountancy qualification
* Excellent communication skills including oral and written
* Good presentation skills
* Team-working, leadership & interpersonal skills
* Proactive, problem-solving skills
* Self-motivating / ability to work unsupervised
* PC-based skills, particularly Excel, with good knowledge of PowerPoint and Word
* Ability to contribute to organisational strategy
* Ability to get to grips with new and complex subject matters quickly
