Operations Manager

£35,000 - £53,000 (This role is also available for a part-time candidate on a pro-rated salary)

Role purpose and overview

The Operations Manager is a senior role within our client’s business that involves continuously improving the performance, productivity, profitability and efficiency of how we deliver of our services. It is the operations manager’s responsibility to ensure all parts of the organisation come together to run as well as it possibly can, with a smooth efficient service that meets the expectations and needs of all its stakeholders.

Preferred Knowledge for the Operations Manager

·Qualifications in Business Administration

·Understanding of or willingness to learn about our Software – CRM systems (Intelliflo an advantage), Research Tools, Report Writing Systems.

·General IT knowledge – including use of Excel and Process Management Software, hardware, cloud and remote systems and systems to drive efficiency in service delivery.

·Good understanding of or a willingness to learn the Regulatory and Compliance requirements of a Financial Services business.

* Leadership – leading teams from different departments to achieve organisational change objectives and managing friction and tensions between areas where it arises.

* Communication – ensuring that communication is ongoing and effective between different departments.

* IT – keeping up to date with IT systems in the workplace while having an understanding of emerging technologies and an appetite to develop.

* Presentation – Presenting ideas and results to different stakeholders across the business including staff and senior management.

* Team working – fostering an environment of teamwork to ensure that all services are delivered on time and company goals are met. Delegating and motivating staff to engage with change.

* Initiative – The ability to work alone and take a lead when hurdles arise or when tasks require completion.

* Planning - staying ahead of the game and ensuring that plans for the future are clearly labelled out for everyone to follow.

* Problem Solving – adapting to the ever changing environment and reacting quickly to meet challenges. Creative thinker with an ability to think outside the box

Package for the Operations Manager

·Basic salary between £35,000 and £53,000 depending on experience

·Auto-enrollment Pension 3%
