Full time Design Technology Teacher required at a Bolton secondary from February 2019 fixed term till the end of the academic year on a temporary contract.

* Full time Design and Technology Teacher required for a Bolton Academy.
* Initially on a temporary fixed term contract till the end of the academic year with the potential to progress on a permanent basis.
* Opportunity to work within an Ofsted graded ‘Good’ Secondary school.
* Must hold QTS alongside relevant degree level qualifications within Design Technology.
* Pay in line with MPS/UPS £23,720 - £39,406.

This recently converted academy has approximately 550 pupils on roll, aged 11-16, with state of the art facilities and resources on site, the school has been rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in all sectors. The Design and Technology department and the staff team have continued working hard towards pupils progressing across Key Stages 3 and 4.

As a very popular subject area there is an increased demand for Design and Technology particularly at GCSE and so the incoming DT teacher will be required to deliver inventive DT lessons which activate pupil Imagination. The responsibilities will be as follows but may not be limited to;

* Plan, prepare and monitor class work reporting back to Senior Leadership accordingly.
* Experience working with the DT curriculum at Key Stage 3-4 essential and any additional experience will be highly beneficial.
* Manage behaviour in accordance to the school behaviour policies.
* Promote a growth mind set amongst all young people in order to raise attainment.

Located less than a few miles away from the Bolton City Centre, the academy is perfectly situated to be accessible via the M61 and the surrounding areas; Bury, Wigan, Salford and Chorley. Public Transport Links are also easily accessible, with the Bus and Train station a few miles away from the Academy.
