An exciting Travel Sales Executive Position has become available with a prestige travel company based outside of London.

The main purpose of the role is handling sales enquiries and preparing quotes for inbound group tours, mainly in U.K & Europe.

Responsibilities / accountabilities:


* To prepare quotation documents for sales enquiries involving detailed itinerary planning and presentation.

* Ensure all itineraries are accurate and operationally realisable for the proposed dates.

* To keep accurate records of all quotes prepared and sent to clients.

* To work alongside operations team in handing over tour admin once client has confirmed tour.

* To continue to assist operations team where necessary up to the point of the operation of the tours.


* To conduct sales trips, attend trade shows and trade missions (will involve foreign travel).

* To follow up all sales interactions with telephone call/email as appropriate.

* To keep accurate records all sales activities and encounters.

* Where appropriate to make a creative contribution to the content of itineraries prepared for quotation, based on relevant knowledge and experience.

* To assist partners in planning and execution of sales & promotional activities.


* To ensure that all quotes are accurately costed in order to achieve the maximum profitability.

* To use Tourplan tour operator software in calculation of tour costs.

* Use Tourplan software to regularly monitor profitability of tours alongside operations team.


* Good computer skills - knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel etc.

* Preferably some foreign language skills e.g. French, German, Spanish, Italian etc
