Our client are a successful business, part of a group of companies and they now require an experienced IT Manager to work at their offices in Warrington, Cheshire.

IT Manager - £38000 - £48000 per annum


To manage and support the Company systems, driving and developing business process excellence within the Group organisation and its associated brands.


To support the legacy systems and processes of all the businesses to a conclusion and migration to a new central business system.
To assist in the design and deployment of new systems for the group of companies. ?
To manage relationships with approved suppliers and partners in relation to system services. ?
To assist with the migration and rollout of existing companies to new systems as appropriate.
Managing the System Helpdesk and Support functions for the company incorporating Helpdesk software.
Managing the System Helpdesk Support Team.
Assist the Business Systems Manager with the co-ordination of activities and developments.
Produce monthly statistics relating to System Helpdesk functions, system performance and operations. ?
Design and create ‘best practice’ procedures and ensure they are followed and enhanced as necessary.
Assist the Business Systems Manager with the implementation and integration process of ne
w sites and new business acquisitions. ?
Ensure security and compliance is maintained within company systems and procedures. ?
Within a culture of continuous improvement, assist with the development and effective operation of the department by recommending new/different working practices and processes.
Liaise with the Operational Support teams in cases when necessary.


This is a key role within the Business Systems team in co-ordinating and supporting all the diverse activities and support that the team perform

? Assist the Business Systems Manager in monitoring and reporting on systems and project deployment and compliance within the Profit Centres and Service Centres

? Liaise with other staff to ensure continuity for future development.

? To improve the efficiency and effective nature of the company and the department.

? To ensure the well-being and morale of departmental staff.

To assist at whatever level necessary to compliment and improve the running of the company and the team.

? Travel to different locations around the UK as required.


• Minimum 5 years working in a systems and commercial environment

• Sufficient I.T. Technical capabilities in appropriate fields to incorporate central server environments, database management and supporting infrastructure.

• VMware, Citrix, RDS and VPN knowledge

• PC networks, desktop, thin client hardware and software support.

• Networking, IP schemas and associated aspects.

• Support software familiarisation (e.g. Teamviewer).

• SQL database knowledge and skills.

• Microsoft O365 migration and management

• Network security experience, Firewall policies and management.

• A knowledge of BI tools.

• Commercially aware and able to communicate at multiple levels.

• Understanding of continuous improvement techniques.

• Understanding of project management techniques.

• A full UK driving licence.
