Empowering Learning are currently working on behalf of an OFSTED graded “Good” school in the Sunderland area, who are looking to recruit a SEND Teacher to work with small groups and occasionally on a 1 to 1 basis until summer 2019. There is a possibility that the position may be made permanent for the successful candidate. Ideally the successful applicant will have experience working with a variety of SEND students, however individuals with a desire to work in this field will also be considered.
An enthusiastic and proactive Teacher is required to progress pupils in their day to day learning. The successful candidate will be required to work with pupils across the key stages. You will have a desire for working with young people and be looking to make a real difference. You must be a strong role model, motivated and dedicated to providing outstanding teaching practice.
The ideal teaching assistant will:
* Have experience of working with children of a relevant age
* Have a teaching qualification (QTS)
* Have an understanding of the role of the Teaching Assistant and other professionals working in the classroom
* Have good knowledge of the national/foundation stage curriculum and other basic learning programmes/strategies
* Have an accredited Team-Teach qualification
