A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Science Teacher at a, high-performing school based in Oldham. This opening is suitable for an NQT looking for their first placement or an experienced Teacher of Science at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

What you can expect from this Science Teacher role

This over-subscribed, larger than average, GOOD rated school enjoyed their best ever GCSE results in 2018. Students are very motivated towards learning and achieving good results, but please bear in mind you should be a self-assured Science Teacher with high expectations towards student behaviour.

The school is renowned for its organic approach towards departmental development, thus offers excellent opportunities for career progression. This would suit an ambitious Science Teacher who wants to make a difference.

You will join a large and well established Science department who are all very supportive and get involved with extra-curricular activities. The Edexcel Combined Science Award is currently being taught at the school, so some experience of this is required.

The ideal candidate will:
- Hold QTS or other recognised teaching qualification
- Be a successful classroom practitioner
- Hold a current DBS registered with the update service or be prepared to apply for a new one
- As a successful classroom practitioner you should be able to consistently add value to your students both academically and in their personal development.
