Position: Finance Assistant - £21,000

Role Summary

The finance assistant, reporting to the Operations Director will be an integral member of our finance and administration team. You will have Sales Ledger experience and will be able to reconcile a large volume of Invoice lines quickly and efficiently, raising invoices and chasing overdue debts. As the Finance Assistant you will be building relationships with both internal departments and external business partners, investigating and resolving discrepancies and queries in a timely manner; providing support and advise where required. You will also be required to perform any other ad-hoc work as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Raising Invoices
  • Resolution of discrepancies and queries
  • Internal communication and external relationship management
  • Data analysis and production of monthly and ad-hoc reports for senior team
  • Maintain data files for remittances, payment dates etc
  • Maintain data files for Invoicing
  • Support administration and assist other teams if required
  • Maintain communication through departments
  • Producing and processing finance documents
  • Maintain and update Master documents/spreadsheets

Skills and Experience Required

  • Sales Ledger experience
  • Experience in high volume reconciliations
  • Strong numeracy & analytical skills
  • Excellent Customer Service/Relationship Management
  • Strong numeracy & analytical skills
  • Speed and accuracy
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational and time management skills
  • Team player but has the ability to work independently to achieve agreed service levels
  • Computer literate with strong Excel and Outlook skills
  • A positive ‘can do’ attitude
  • Utilities Industry experience is desirable
