Support Worker (Young People)


£18,212 per annum, pro-rata

30 hours per week

Fixed term contract for up to 1 year

What you'll be doing

You’ll be developing independent living skills for 18 to 25 year olds to help them sustain their tenancy. You’ll be supporting customers who have shown commitment to access education, training or employment

You’ll work with internal services and other organisations to identify opportunities for young people to help them reach their potential.

You’ll also be carrying out housing management duties to ensure the young people are able to sustain their tenancy obligations.

More about you

You’ll have experience working in a similar role in a social care or community environment, with a good understanding of the challenges and issues affecting young vulnerable people and their benefit entitlements.

You’ll be self-motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to keep accurate and up to date records.

At the same time you will demonstrate resilience and the desire to work in an interesting environment where no day is ever the same!

You will need to take up an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Check for this role which our client will do for you when you start.

When and where you'll be doing it

Flexibility will also be essential, you will be able to work four days between Monday and Friday. Our office hours are:

Monday and Wednesday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Tuesday and Thursday 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Friday 9 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.
