We are recruiting a Tutor for our Recovery College based in Woolwich.
Recovery College Greenwich supports the personal recovery of adults with enduring mental ill health through learning achievement. The personal affirmation that comes with mastering a new subject along with the skills and knowledge gained, support living beyond a diagnosis in sustained recovery.
The role of the Recovery College Tutor is to design, plan and deliver educational activities that support recovery, promote positive mental health and wellbeing. The sessions and courses are for adults with lived experience of mental ill health, their friends, families and mental health practitioners. Many courses will be developed and delivered with a peer trainer; someone with lived experiences of mental ill health and who has completed a recovery college teacher training program.
The role will be:-
* To design and deliver educational activities that support personal recovery
* To co-design and facilitate courses with peer trainers
* To use teaching and learning strategies that take into account individual student needs
* To provide appropriate learner feedback, support and IAG where necessary
* To assess students’ progress and maintain records attendance, attainment and progression.
* To create an appropriate and welcoming atmosphere for learners.
You must have a relevant teaching qualification.
