The Infrastructure Manager will be responsible for leading change projects focussed on delivering changes to technology and culture for a Service based global IT network and infrastructure.

The role will encompass virtual, physical and network configuration, storage, back up and disaster recovery application and patch management across multiple locations. The role will be required to work on other areas of IT including technical and IT security related matters and IT projects on an ad hoc basis.

The role will be responsible for managing a small team of international Infrastructure Engineers.

This role primarily relates to infrastructure design, monitoring and problem resolution, and as such it could be located in either Wimborne, UK or Round Rock, US sites.

Experience 2+ Net network management
Building, designing and maintain global it infrastructure
Managing infrastructure for 7 sites – 5 UK and 2 USA
Managing team of 3
Ideally Cisco network professional and security clearance
End users are Microsoft + Linux
Drive the design in the direction of the network layer.

Qualifications / skills required (essential)

- Minimum 3-5 years proven experience in a similar role
- Experience in designing global IT networks
- Demonstrable knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, VMWare & Hyper-V, Firewalls, Network switches, Storage Management, Exchange Server, PBX Systems, Federated networks, Office365, AWS or similar
- Experienced in leading a team
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills
- Ability to prioritise multiple projects and work under pressure
- Good documentation skills
- Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative with the minimum of supervision
- Willingness to learn new skills and develop own career path
- Able to take responsibility and challenge themselves

Qualifications / skills (beneficial)

- A formal IT qualification such as HNC/HND computing or above
- Microsoft MCSE
- Cisco or equivalent vendor qualifications
- Mobile device management
- Network design & management
- Network monitoring
- Configuration management
- Linux
