Bookkeeper
£26,000 - £34,000 basic salary dependent on experience
Hours 9am – 5.30pm (1-hour lunch)
A fantastic opportunity to work for a successful and growing business. The company are a fully international operation, with offices in South Africa, China and Australia. Their main UK office is based in Dunstable.
Main Duties of the Bookkeeper:
Posting sales and purchase ledger invoices, credits and payments Credit Control
Administering company credit cards, expenses and petty cash claims
Updating Excel Spreadsheets
Assisting with the preparation of monthly and year end management accounts
Assisting with transfer of work on to our new bespoke software GUS
General all-round finance support where needed to aid the smooth running of the department
Experience and Qualifications
* A minimum of 2 years accounts experience
* Full or part AAT qualified or equivalent NVQ training with ambition to qualify
* Experience of Sage line 50 accounts system
* Excellent IT skills, particularly Excel
* Commercially aware with a continuous improvement approach
* Accurate and diligent
* An ability to prioritise, plan and organise work whilst in a busy environment
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Be flexible and have an adaptable approach to meet the demands and work load of the business
Desired Experience
* Experience with multi-currencies
* Use of bespoke databases
* Prior work with multi-branches
