Manchester based Specialist Project Worker (Child Criminal and Sexual Exploitation) required for an immediate start

Role: Specialist Project Worker (Child Criminal and Sexual Exploitation)

Based: Manchester

Rate: £11.50 – 14ph dependent on experience

Length: 6 months

Hours: 1 x 37 hours and 1 x 21 hours

Start: Immediate

Our client, a respected national children’s Charity, are recruiting for a Manchester based Project Worker to work on their Disrupting Exploitation service.

The successful candidate will be providing targeted support to vulnerable children and young people who are experiencing/ have experienced/ are at risk of Exploitation (including Child Criminal/ Gang Exploitation, CSE, Trafficking etc).

You will provide intensive and targeted support to vulnerable and exploited children and young people in Manchester,

You will be key working 6-8 young people and will provide wrap around support to both the young person and where appropriate and necessary their family. You will be working with young people in their homes, youth centres, schools and in the community.

You will be identifying and making contact with young people at risk of exploitation (sexual, criminal, trafficking etc) through a range of outreach and referral methods and focusing on developing effective and sensitive relationships.

Working with colleagues, management and partners to identify trends, patterns and areas of focus for the wider disrupting exploitation team.

You will be working in partnership with workers from key service providers to ensure that young people receive sensitive and timely services in line with good practice guidance for exploited children and young people and safeguarding.

You will be construct interventions to resolve young people’s issues, including utilising child protection and safeguarding systems and practices where appropriate.


* Knowledge of Safeguarding Children policies and guidelines
* Previous experience working with vulnerable young people – this can include supported housing, social care/ work, therapeutic support and/ or youth work
* The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with victims of CSE, County Lines, Child Criminal Exploitation, Trafficking and/ or Gangs
* Strong communication skills – written and verbal
