My Client is one of the countries leading players in the financial sector with an established estate in the UK. They are currently expanding one of their subsidiary arms that focuses on insurance and savings solutions.
I am looking for a Deskside services / Desktop Support / 2nd Line Support specialist to work within the IT department, reporting directly to the service delivery manager.
Key responsibilities:
Deskside Services / Desktop Support / 2nd Line Support
Installation and configuration of all hardware and software
Establish and maintain correct procedure for all installations
Dealing with 3rd party suppliers and engineers
Planning and implementation of relocation and restructuring
Ensure compliance with all appropriate group and industry audit requirements
Contribution towards strategy and policy making
Essential skills required:
3 years+ Deskside Services / Desktop Support / 2nd Line Support experience
Educated to degree level; Management of information Science, Computer Science or Information Technology management preferred
Microsoft certified professional
IT Infrastructure Library (ITILv2 or v3) Foundation required skills and work experience
Active Directory
Lotus notes client
Experience working within a Service Management orientated environment
Microsoft Windows 7
The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills to troubleshoot technical issues and will thrive working in a high pressure environment.
