The purpose of this role is to provide a reliable and accurate service for the Purchasing Manager.

Key responsibilities:

* Run requisitions

* Raise purchasing orders

* Build supplier relationships

* Update supplier review information

* Deal with supplier issues

* Complete NCRs

* Stock adjustments

* Carry-out Month End procedures

* Invoice sign-off

* Raise item cards

* Regular 1-to-1 meetings with Manager

* Provide support to the Sales Team

* Any other tasks deemed applicable by Manager

Experience & qualifications:

* GCSEs - minimum of 5 C grades (2 of which must be English and Maths)

* Experience of Microsoft Office (Outlook and Excel)

* Experience in a Purchasing Department

Skills & personal attributes:

* Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and team

* Good organisational skills

* Close attention to detail

* Ability to work under pressure

* Strong interpersonal skills

* Enthusiastic personality

* Ability to work on own initiative

* Confident telephone manner

* Willingness to adapt/grow and develop within the role

* Proficient, quick and comfortable with computer navigation and operation

* Confident to make day-to-day decisions

Initial salary is £20,000 pa and there will be two salary reviews: one after 6 months and the second after 12 months.

20 days holiday per year, plus all bank holidays and Christmas break
