A Students' Union based in Coventry have an exciting opportunity taking place attheir Scarborough Campus where they are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and vibrant individual to develop volunteering opportunities. You will be coordinating and promoting student volunteering engagement at the campus in Scarborough, working with the university in Scarborough and the local community. You will be identifying volunteering opportunities and activities and delivering events to promote volunteering and encourage participation from students. You will coordinate the recruitment, training and development of student project leaders. You will also be developing key relationships with students, staff, colleagues and local community organisations. To carry out this role you will need experience of developing volunteering initiatives together with experience of working with community organisations. You will have a good grasp of key issues in higher education and volunteering trends. You will have excellent literacy, numeracy and computer skills, including use of all Microsoft applications. You will also be highly skilled in administrative duties with the ability to develop strong community links, and the ability to motivate and engage students and volunteers.
