We have a great opportunity for experienced Software Systems Engineers with experience in designing and developing control systems to join our Company working from the Swadlincote office.

The Role:
Working as a Software Systems Engineer you will work on a number of bespoke turnkey projects from concept to completion.
You will be designing and developing control systems using the Allen Bradley family of PLCs, ControlLogix and Siemens TIA Portal in particular.
Working closely with the engineers on the project, you will develop and implement software suited to individual customer requirements. Your duties will also include Client acceptance testing, site meetings & regular project reviews.
Working hours: 39 hours per week (Monday-Friday). Some overtime may be required.
Skills / Experience Required:
You should have some experience in / be competent to do the following:
* Detailed FDS/SDS development
* Control system software/hardware design and implementation
* PLC programming from scratch or implementing site standard code
* Conducting site surveys
* Undertake on site installation, testing and commissioning
* Participate in both FAT (factory acceptance test) & CAT (client acceptance test)
* You will also need to provide support to Junior & Apprentice team members.
* Experience of designing and developing bespoke automated control systems through the lifecycle of a project.
* Exposure to Omron, Mitsubishi and Beckhoff would be a great advantage.
* Happy working within a team and have the ability to be self-driven.
* Experienced in the development of technical design specification documents (FDS/SDS)
* Experience of PLC hardware commissioning and I/O testing would be beneficial.
