Salary Band: Grade 4 Regions, £24,169 - £27,188 per annum

For this role appointments are made at £24,169 per annum

Full Time, 12 month fixed term contract (maternity cover)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Regional Manager to join the Royal College of Physicians’ (RCP’s) regional team, to assist members within the East Midlands South and Eastern regions. The role is based in Market Harborough and will involve working alongside RCP staff across the UK.

The regional team is a part of the membership support and global engagement (MSGE) department at the RCP, and are the central point of contact for RCP members. Working closely with local physicians, the regional team run educational events, promote RCP policy, the benefits of joining the RCP and assist in the development of new activity that maintains the ongoing education of RCP members.

Main tasks

  • Plan, organise and deliver a wide range of regional educational conferences and training events held at various key locations across East Midlands South and Eastern as arranged with the regional advisers.
  • Communicate with members within the region.
  • Assist in the development of local membership support and engagement, effectively seeking opportunities to promote RCP member provision to local members.
  • Establish effective working relationships with key stakeholders, networks, healthcare professionals and training providers.
  • Co-ordinate the approval process of job descriptions.

Experience required

  • Experience in a role which has included a significant degree of accountability
  • Experience of organising conferences, workshops, seminars or public events
  • Excellent customer service and relationship management skills
  • Proficient in the use of MS office packages, CRM and preferably experience using mass email software and online survey tools.
  • Experience of working in a professional/membership and/or health/NHS organisation is desirable
