We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to develop long-term strategic partnerships in support of RoSPA’s mission regarding road/fleet safety, training and qualifications both nationally and internationally.

Reporting to the Head of Training, the successful candidate will lead, manage and assess the performance of the Fleet Safety and Training departments. In addition, you will be expected to develop commercial relationships with new and engaged clients to pursue mutually beneficial growth opportunities.

As part of this role, you will support the RoSPA’s qualifications department (RosQual) by transferring the Fleet and Road existing courses to a RosQual customised framework and play a lead role in new product development and updating existing courses.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree standard (or equivalent) in a relevant subject (i.e. marketing, business, commerce). A further qualification in project management (i.e. PRINCE 2) would be preferable along with experience in the driver/fleet sector. Experience of managing strategic relationships and developing new products is essential, as is a proven history of project management and promoting products and services.

This role requires a flexible approach in relation to hours and travel away from home both within the UK and internationally, and the successful candidate will be expected to maintain and enhance their own awareness and understanding on cultural issues within overseas regions
