Assistant Account Manager - Menswear

Watford

£20K- £30K depending on skills and experience

9 - 6pm

Car driver preferred.

The role:

Our client part of a Multinational Group is looking for an Assistant Account Manager to join a small team to assist the Account Manager on existing accounts and new opportunities. You will be responsible for timely delivery of quality goods to the customers, developing and identifying best sources for all products and managing stock levels.

Key responsibilities:

To strengthen existing sources and develop new ones depending upon the demands of the business. Build and sustain relationships directly with factory management and Far East offices and ensure factory capabilities are correct for business levels being placed at any given time. Provide support to the sales team in finding the right source for any given product, also in order placement, critical path management, shipping tracking and record keeping. Order processing and involvement within the team of reviewing detailed weekly critical paths. Providing correct packaging information for factories and maintaining daily communication with the Far East factories / suppliers for sourcing, delivery negotiations, production and shipping follow up and occasionally costings. Daily contact with the sales and technical teams in the UK and working closely with the design team in ensuring designs are developed in accordance with the customer needs.

Skill requirements:

Must have worked on the supply side of the business and not in a Retail Head Office. Excellent communication, strong negotiation skills with buyers in the UK and suppliers/factories in Asia and the Far East. Knowledge of fabrics and production process. Highly organised and capable of working to and managing tight deadlines as part of a team. Experience in Menswear and boyswear woven goods is preffered. A good working knowledge of Excel, charts for data analysis and PowerPoint. Clear and precise communicarion skills and the ability to be a team player. Very customer focussed, organised and the drive to succeed.
