The Opportunity

We’re seeking an experienced, growth orientated digital marketing manager to join our small, growing team at an early and exciting moment. Your key objective is simple: rapidly grow our subscriber base by deploying your digital marketing know-how to develop awareness, acquisition and activation. As this is a young firm with few employees working in the US and UK, the potential for professional growth and development is considerable.


-Propose and deliver clear digital marketing objectives and tactics for rapid growth in the UK and the US.

-Develop optimisation strategies to meet overall marketing objectives.

- Social Media Marketing: Structure and segment ad campaigns, target customer groups, and analyze performance on social channels.

- SEO: Set up and manage best practice SEO strategies and identify opportunities for optimisation and improved backlinking.

- Search Engine Marketing: structure and optimise SEM campaigns, key-words and bidding as necessary.

- Email: Plan, execute and measure email marketing campaigns.

- Analytics: Gather insights on Audience, Acquisition, Behavior, Conversion and Attribution from Google Analytics.

- Analyze a conversion funnel to create micro- and macro-goals and identify user experience obstacles.

- Measurement: Develop KPIs and appropriate metrics and benchmarks for evaluation of marketing initiatives.
- Ensure marketing decisions are driven by good data analysis and constantly optimised in the light of performance and effectiveness.

- Testing: Utilize best practices for conducting statistically sound A/B and multivariate tests across channels.

- Manage marketing spend and selection and deployment of key digital marketing platforms and apps.

- Keep up to date with the latest digital marketing techniques and technologies.

- Support the optimization of customer journey and conversion rates alongside the UX and tech team.

- Support our CRM strategy to suggest actionable insights to drive customer in app conversion, retention and growth.

- Support unpaid social media and content strategies, recommending and making improvements to social media conversion funnels.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills

You should have at least 3 - 5 years focused digital marketing experience, preferably in the context of a subscription business model with a proven record successfully delivering on the areas of responsibility outlined above.

Expertise in Social Media, SEO, PPC, Display, Affiliate and Email marketing in both UK and US markets.

Hands on experience with the following platforms or their equivalents:

- Google Analytics and Heap (or similar)
- Google ads, Facebook Business and Instagram Ads
- Intercom
- Mailchimp
- A/B and Multivariate testing platforms (e.g. Optimsley)

You understand the role of data and metrics such as ROAS, CPM, CPC, CTR, ROI, CAC LTV etc and use them consistently and iteratively in a framework of experiment, review and change.

Some formal training in a broad range of digital marketing desirable (e.g. General Assembly)

Further information

This role reports to the COO and will work closely with the founders and senior management. A second Community and Content Marketing hire is in hand.
