We are looking for a Unity Developer to work for a well established University, central to Nottingham.

Duties involved: Iterative improvement of prototypes of safety training scenarios in Unity, with appropriate documentation of solutions. This is part of an exciting ongoing project researching the use of multimodal Virtual Reality for safety training. Primarily we require support on developing an engine assembly task, though the candidate may also be asked to support other Unity development such as making modifications to our existing fire safety training application. The candidate will be provided with storyboards/specifications and existing early versions of the prototype. The prototypes will be tested by the project team regularly and with samples of users during development, and the candidate will need to integrate feedback provided by the project team into further iterations.

Skills and experience required: Excellent skills in Unity development, ability to work to tight deadlines, and good collaboration skills. Ability to document short summaries of development work in a way that makes sense to non-technical project partners. Experience with Virtual Reality is desirable but not essential – we are using an HTC Vive Head-Mounted Display, but have other collaborators who could support this aspect of the work if needed.

This is a fantastic opportunity initially on a 6 week contract. Please contact us immediately on 01159485780 to discuss this fantastic opportunity further.
