The Opportunity

An opportunity has arisen for a reliable, practical, hardworking individual to provide essential support to the EE&F Facilities and Test Teams.
The Role
This role is in an exciting laboratory environment where you will see / interact with a lot of equipment / hardware, covering multiple projects throughout the product lifecycle. To support the wider team in delivering time critical environmental testing capability to MBDA, the role involves carrying out a wide variety of duties including:

- Laboratory housekeeping and support to test engineers to ensure facilities are ready for use (e.g. assisting with shaker re-configuration and fixture or test item attachment / demounting).
- Conducting of regular checks on equipment and maintaining records.
- Maintenance of fixture database and fixtures, including arranging for storage/retrieval from storage facility.
- Maintenance and enforcement of the test item/equipment movement log.
- Regular checks on portable oxygen depletion monitors.
- Control of the laboratory test consumables, including replenishing stocks of bolts/adhesives etc.
- Administration and escorting of sub-contractors, who are not security cleared, around the Test Lab.
- Keep full and accurate records of all work and activities carried out.
- Monitoring of PAT status on all laboratory /customer’s equipment and gathering it for regular PAT testing.
- Monitoring lifting equipment inspection status and gathering it for routine insurance inspections.
- Maintenance of fixture database and fixtures, including arranging for storage/retrieval of fixtures from storage facility.
- Arranging internal/external calibration of equipment.
- Administration of the equipment stores database.
- Fork lift driving

What are we looking for? - Able to work individually or as a team, calmly in a professional, agile manner in a high pacedenvironment where requirements change at the last minute
- Able to work under own initiative as well as guidance from multiple Team Leaders
- Good verbal communication skills, good written skills and advantage,
- Basic computer literacy is desirable, but training will be provided.

- Due to the nature of the role a certain amount of manual handling / physical work will be required.
