Design Technology Teacher

Are you an experienced Design Technology teacher looking for your next challenge at a school in Bromley?

A qualified teacher, holding QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree, to teach across all Key Stages and who has excellent subject knowledge.

The core duties of this Design Technology teacher role are:
• To carry out teaching duties to meet objectives specified in the school's schemes of work and National Curriculum
• To assess, record and report on the attendance, progress, development and attainment of assigned pupils as defined by school policy
• To plan and prepare courses, schemes of work and individual lessons, appropriate to the needs, interests, experience and existing knowledge of the pupils in the class.
• To work as a member of a specified team and contribute positively to effective working relationships within the school
• To build and maintain co-operative relationships with parents and to communicate with them on pupils’ learning and progress, drawing attention to special skills and talents as well as to problems or difficulties.

The successful candidate will have:

• A passion for children’s learning and development an ability to be a strong team player
• The ability to teach Design Technology - Resistant Materials / Product design is desired but not essential
• High aspirations for all children and a desire to raise standards
• An ability to influence others
• An ability to work with the whole school community
• High aspirations for themselves and a commitment to further development
• A passion, drive and enthusiasm for leading all children within the school
• At least one year’s teaching experience in the UK

The school is based near to Bromley stations, direct line from London Bridge station.
