Orangetheory Fitness is now the fastest growing boutique fitness brand worldwide with over one million members and approximately 1,100 studios around the globe; all developed since its inception 8 years ago. In 2018, our partner, WellComm Health & Fitness, secured the master franchise agreement to bring Orangetheory Fitness to the UK (North of England and the Midlands).



Simple and hugely effective, Orangetheory group training provides science-backed, technology-tracked and coach-inspired group training. Its total-body workout system is based on heart rate interval training, aimed at achieving Excess Post-Exercise Oxygen Consumption (or EPOC). In a rapidly growing market, which is served by the old-school ‘gyms’ and clubs, Orangetheory delivers proven results to a much wider range of people who wish to enjoy “More Life.” Orangetheory has “changed the game” in America and Canada; WellComm seeks to repeat this success in the UK. But it’s more than just a workout, it’s a community where events, challenges, socials and more are hosted, bringing together a group of people with a common goal. It’s a unique concept and is producing lasting results for members worldwide. WellComm’s vision is to “…develop relationships within an inspired wellness community.”



With ambitious growth plans, WellComm launched their first studio in Altrincham this month and others are now in development. The team’s hands on experience of Orangetheory Fitness’ impressive growth stateside suggests there’s a strong growth trajectory ahead, with 75+ Orangetheory studios currently planned for prime locations.



To deliver their strategy, WellComm seek the appointment of a Sales Director to develop and lead a skilled and highly customer centric, relationship-based sales team. Focused on shaping the member acquisition strategy, hiring and training to deliver on target sign–ups and retention. For the right individual who shares their drive, ambition and entrepreneurial spirit, who is highly customer oriented and prepared to be ‘hands on’, there can be few more attractive opportunities available.



You’ll be passionate about health, fitness and wellbeing (although not necessarily operating in the sector) and have a desire to deliver an unrivalled customer experience. You should also share our excitement at entering each new geographic location with the objective of turning the nascent studio “blank canvas” into a profitable entity full of referral-generating members. Initially, your responsibilities will be all aspects of what it takes to open a successful studio. However, as you will have created a successful member-generating culture at each new location, you will increasingly be responsible for ensuring membership growth at those established studios.



You are likely to have developed your expertise in a growing brand with high-level customer touch points and an understanding of how to lead a focused and effective marketing and lead generation engine. With a track record of building and managing teams across all facets of sales, including pre-sales, sales development, referral generation including Centres of Influence, customer care and retention. Particularly important is B2B and B2C relationship building; “outreach” sales and utilising the latest digital channels.
