Our client are a leading UK specialist in the installation and maintenance of communal television, door entry and CCTV systems. From the cable boom of the 1980s, through Sky’s spectacular expansion in the 1990s, to the digital switch-over, our client has continually been an industry leader and a by-word for excellence. They are currently recruiting for an Engineer who will be reporting into the Project Manager and Supervising Engineer. This position will be based in and around Manchester and is a key role within the company. The engineer will be assisting customers, identifying faults with the communal television reception system and resolving them in a timely manner. Training will be provided for their systems, working at heights and any other H&S qualifications required. Key Responsibilities • Identify faults on systems and rectify • Use a PDA to write clear and concise service and survey reports • Ordering and allocation of stock • Carry out tasks and duties set by the department/company that will contribute to the levels of performance required. • Provide a high standard of customer service when attending people’s homes • Cover emergency callouts (this is done on a rota basis) • Complete paperwork within the set deadlines which includes time sheets and health and safety documents such as risk assessments. • Adhere to health and safety policies • Follow all company procedures Key Skills/Experience: • A background on working on communal television reception systems. The Engineer will be provided with: • A van (allowed to use for private mileage as long as they submit mileage sheets) • Phone / PDA • Uniform • Training (new courses and refreshers)
