Where does this role fit in?

Working as a Junior Account Manager, onsite with our client Wickes in their Watford head office, you'll take full responsibility for the delivery of eCRM and email marketing campaigns for the client.

You'll be managing multiple campaigns at any given time, taking briefs from the client and either discussing requirements further with our internal-ITG teams, or briefing work through a workflow management process into the Production team to deliver on those campaigns. Much of this work will be managing and delivering the dynamic email campaigns (with a few one-off requests thrown in) through the briefing, testing and deployment. With a commercial head on your shoulders, you also manage to track spend against the client's budget and deliver agreed upon ROIs.

Stakeholder management is key to the success of this role, not only do you need to ensure you're getting all the required information from the client, but you'll be hosting the project meetings with internal and external stakeholders, responsible for booking the design/development time for email campaigns and being the main point of contact for any third-party agencies. To summarise you'll be spending much of your day talking, and making sure people are getting the job done.

Essential Skills

If we were to boil it down to two key aspects, the first would be experienced in a client facing role (you'll be based onsite 5-days' a week here), and experience with email marketing, most likely at a digital or integrated agency.

From that you'll likely have experience in delivering exceptional customer service, knowing what it means to go above and beyond when required. You'll be proactively solving problems, not letting minor hitches get you down.

Experience in Jira workflow management would be a huge bonus to your application. Whilst you'll be traveling into our London office from time to time, much of the work you brief into production will be done so through this system.

As a person, you're comfortable managing your own time, knowing how to prioritise without having your manager next to you every day. You'll be quality checking many of the email campaigns and so having an eye for detail would be a good trait.

Finally, you're comfortable being depended on, working autonomously to manage the client and running the show!
