We’re looking for a highly motivated Financial Accountant to join our fantastic Finance team at our head office in Baglan.

You will be responsible for Financial Accounting and Tax, including oversight of financial transactions, systems and controls, Chart of Accounts, statutory returns, Financial Reporting and Audit.

You’ll need to be a fully qualified CCAB Accountant with a confident communication style, high level of accuracy, attention to detail and with the ability to work to strict deadlines.

In return we offer a competitive salary circa £33,500 to £38,500

As our Financial Accountant you will be responsible for:

Management of the transactional functions, Purchase Ledger and Revenue Accounting, including the development and monitoring of internal controls, policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory and financial legislation.

Preparation of the year end accounts, Annual Report and Financial Statements and External Audit. Ensuring year end accounts are compliant with all accounting standards.

Responsible for all Tax and VAT compliance, providing advice on liability, transactional issues and the associated treatment of expenditure.

Provide leadership to staff within the Transactional Accounting function, identify opportunities to improve team performance through effective direction, objective setting and performance evaluation, development, training and coaching.

To be considered for the Financial Accountant role you will need to be/have:

CCAB Qualified Financial Accountant

Advanced Excel skills

Experience of Financial controls, financial reporting, audit, VAT and Tax compliance

Experience of working within an accounting role in a highly regulated environment and an understanding of financial systems and processes
