We are currently looking for an experienced Payroll Liaison Officer to work in conjunction with our partners and to provide a comprehensive payroll service to the Hospital employees.

Located in leafy St John’s Wood on the Jubilee line, minutes from Central London, our luxury private Hospital has an international reputation for providing the highest quality of care to patients and is unique in that all profits fund our onsite Hospice, St John’s.

Am I the right person for this Payroll Liaison Officer role?

* 5 GCSEs / O-levels (or equivalent) including Maths & English

* Experience of using a computerised Payroll system in a large organisation

* Experience with ‘Northgate’ system is desirable

* Experience of working with Spreadsheets, Word processing and Email

* Experience of working with a Payroll Outsourcer and managing their performance and working relationship

* Experience of using reporting software to extract complex payroll data to provide management information to external providers and statutory Bodies

* Comprehensive knowledge and experience of current U.K. Statutory Payroll Legislation i.e. PAYE, NI etc.

* Experience of handling complex payroll related queries and resolving them in a timely fashion using your own initiative

* Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills

* Highly motivated proactive individual and effective team player

* Good concentration skills and attention to detail

* Advanced MS Excel skills. Training may be available for suitable candidates with intermediate excel skills

* Knowledge of GDPR

What would be my responsibilities as the Payroll Liaison Officer?

* Manage relationship between the Hospital and the outsourced payroll service provider and liaise to ensure that all the aspects of the payroll service are provided promptly and accurately

* Liaise with the Outsourced Payroll Service Provider, Human Resources and Finance departments

* Ensure the Hospital’s two payrolls are processed

* Collate and consolidate all timesheets for Permanent and Bank Staff

* Be the first point of contact for all payslip related pay queries

* Lead annual pay review process and run periodic payroll and general ledger/costing reports
