We are recruiting for a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Tutor within our emerging further education provision based just outside Peterborough.
The opportunity has arisen for a Learning for Life Tutor within our Further Education Provision at Calman Colaiste, Thorney.
You will be responsible for ensuring that residents aged 19-25 have an individualised learning pathway which is focused on the continued acquisition of life skills and functional learning.
As a Learning Tutor, you will be expected to work directly with young people as a core part of the role within the College environment. You will also provide weekly learning plans with outcomes for all learners based on individual pathways and contribute and provide information for reports, and attend internal / external reviews as required.
Experience, skills and qualifications:
Experience and evidence of delivering vocational and accredited learning programs to young adults or learners with complex needs.
Successful candidates will have previous experience, a good understanding, or a willingness to learn the core principles of the ‘Kisimul Learning for Life’ Post 19 Curriculum.
Outstanding behaviour management skills, and evidence of providing successful outcomes to young people with challenging behaviour profiles.
Within this emerging service, candidates will be expected to show resilience and creativity to engage adults in learning.
Remuneration Package:
The successful applicant will be offered a remuneration package that will consist of a basic salary circa £24,526 as well as relevant training and other company benefits such as; pension, life assurance, child care voucher scheme.
