Company Car/Car AllowanceThe job of a Territory Accountant

This is an exciting opportunity for a Territory Accountant to look after a number of sites in the Central region, which covers an area from Sheffield down to Coventry. This role would be ideal for an individual who enjoys working closely with the operations side of the business. Visiting sites and working closely with our General Managers is a fundamental aspect of the role.

The successful candidate will be working as part of the Finance team that support the Central and East Divisions of Nationwide. The main purpose of this role is the production of accurate and timely monthly management accounts for sites under your responsibility, analysing and interpreting site financial information to assist General Managers in understanding site financial performance and its drivers. You will also be responsible for balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments, site payroll, monthly forecasting and have input into the annual budgeting process. This is not an exhaustive list and further duties will be discussed at interview.

What we think good looks like

As a Territory Accountant we would like you to have an interest and passion in what we do. With a professional appearance we would also appreciate it if you already have experience of working in a similar role and you must be able to demonstrate a proven track record of your performance at interview. In addition to this we are looking for experience in producing monthly management accounts. You must be IT literate and be competent in using Excel look-ups and pivot tables as well as having a keen eye for detail. Experience of using Pegasus Opera would be an advantage but not essential. You must be able to effectively communicate, both written and verbally and work under pressure and to tight deadlines. You must also be AAT qualified (or equivalent) and be working towards ACCA/CIMA/ACA. We will help and support you with the rest. Regular travel will be required across the region to visit sites and attend meetings as necessary.
